Need help for 6600 backup — Nokia 6600 and 6620 — All About Symbian Forum Archive

Hello, I've got big problem. Before I have sold my nokia 6600, I made a backup with pc suite which came with my mobile phone. And now, when I bought another phone, I can't restore contacts, because this old pc suite is compactible only with 6600. I called to Nokia center, but they said that I should better found someone who has nokia 6600 and could restore that backup and synchronize all contacts to outlook that I could synchronize them with my new phone. That backup file, which is in contacts folder is eccemain.ctx (I could send it via e-mail (~50kb)). So I would really appreciate if someone could help me 😊

I think they have reason:frown: The best way is between 6600 and the new phone, and use the transfer application from new phone to take all stuff from 6600.

I don't have 6600 anymore. That's why I need someone who could help me to restore contacts file to his phone and convert them to outlook. I really need help because none of my friends haven't got 6600 :frown: Please, someone, help me 😉

i have a similar problem...well..actually not so similar, i can't backup my 6600..i've downloaded pcsuite from the intergnet and the back-up function doesen't work..could it be because of the phone or the software?:con?

Hello Friends,

Im a silent member of this group. Last month i had a severe headache regarding the backup of Nokia 6600.

I try to make hard format to my cell. B4 that i took backup all the things from phone to my memory card. It backup(ed) successfully. After formatting is over, i try to restore the backup details to phone memory. All the things(like sounds,tones) are copied except the contacts.

At that time the error message shows (unable to copy 2 files).

I tried next time too...But i cant get it....

When i see the memory card in my system by using card reader, backup files is there in the archive[COLOR="Red"](arc) format...Still now itz with me in my system....the size is 2MB(including calender and contacts details)

I really need my contacts....

Im really annoyed abt the same.

Please anyone help me means, im very thankful for you.
