I'm the owner of a standard US version N80 and am getting to the point where I just might do the NSS+NSU update to N80IE since Nokia is taking their time to officially do anything to enable the rest of us to update.
I would like to preserve the US English locale of my phone rather than change it to a Euro product code so I was wondering if there are any US version N80IE owners here who could state what the product code is for their model (mine is Pearl Black).
Im not sure If they have a USA code but im from the states too, but got a phone imported somewhere from asia, i just changed it to a ukrainian code. Im pretty sure every code keeps english as a choice of language.
The code for my standard N80 USA in pearl black is 0527632 so there most likely is a product code for the USA model N80IE too - it would be located on the product label on the phone beneath the battery.

its not just a case of putting an N80ie US product code on your phone, Nokia have to make available the firmware for the US product code on the NSU...which at present I don't believe its available, it just seems to be Euro codes ..
Well, I don't think anyone has tested using a US N80IE product code to see if it would work. I am willing to try. If it doesn't work, no loss, then I can go the route everyone else is going and use a Euro code.
