man are you trying to say that there`s no more equalizer in the music player?!
that would be catastrophic

eq is there but the options to exit the music player via the eq is removed.....

I hope u know that the old firmware had the option to exit the music player after going to the eq u will have an option to exit.

Now music player will always run on de background 😡

Was there an Autolock feature in the old version of the firmware?

Just noticed it in the Security Settings menu, and I don't remember seeing it before but I could just have missed it. Either way, it's a useful feature.

That autolock is not the Keypad lock but the coded auto lock where u will need to type ur phone password to open the keypad. tats been present right from the s60 1st edition devices..... :icon14:

You have never been able to shutdown the Music Player in ME, it's always been a feature and always runs in the background. What I have noticed so far since I upgraded last night is that the Music Player now remembers your Equaliser choice after power down. Before, you had to reselect it after every power up. Also the Music player is a lot faster. It start playback a lot quicker.

One other thing is the font for Calendar items on Active Standby is no longer bold, making it less easy to see the items. Not major, but I'm not too keen.

My only other bug bears are that they failed to implement a proper folder structure within Gallery and no matter how much you back things up, whenever you upgrade the firmware, you always lose your album art 😞

Other than that, all seems well 😊

lovesign, in the 3.0638.0.0.30 version you could have turned off the music player (for good) from within the eq. i don`t consider this change to be a major one since the music player eats up 8.5 KB of memory

Question mate!

I want 2 add album art but don't know how 2 do it...
I tried adding pic. 2 the music folder but no luck yet!
Can U help me out dude?

(just change the N73 formware 2 the music edition...)

Just take your album art pictures and place them in the images folder. Then start the Music Player and got to Albums. Highlight the album you want and select options (left soft key), choose Album Art, select options again and select CHANGE. A browser to your image gallery will open. Select the picture you want and it will assign to all tracks in the album. Once you have done this, you can delete the image from your gallery as it is now embedded in the tag of the tracks 😊

Hope that helped.

Hi Lovesign,

thanx mate!
That did work 4 me.....

By the way....

How do I close that damn music player?
It's eating up my RAM....
When I use Tomtom and install software I keep on getting memory low...

The old option with equalizer and exit don't work anymore with the latest firmware

Roland

No it can't be turned off, but it only uses a very small amount of RAM so it isn't that that is causing your memory low errors. I never realised you could turn it off before in Eq anyway ! I have TomTom and a shed load of other stuff and don't get memory low errors.

Ok, new issue with this version.

Every time I turn my phone on now, I get an "Installing" pop up with the time bar, then I get a message telling me I have untrusted applications on my memory card and to go to Application Manager. It holds the phone up for about a minute.

Any ideas ??? It's annoying the tits off of me !! 😡

do i have to use it again when update now

You will only have to use NSS again if you changed your product code back to it's original setting after you upgraded

I sorted this by re-installing the offending apps. PITA, Nokia, sort it out !! 😡
