You probably all know this already!
When you're writing a message, if you press the pen in the "To" field, you get the option to switch to alpha mode - then if you type the first few letters of your mate's name it will fill in the rest for you (as long as the letters are unique to that mate, otherwise it prompts you to selct from a list of people whose name begins with those letters).
That is so much easier than trawling through my phone book, especially when I send the same message to more than one person.
Anyone else know any handy tips? Let's list them all, as this is probably a really basic one I didn't know so there's bound to be more like it.
I didnt know that no... but I find it more long to have to type the name in than just pressing center key and a couple of chars.

No that's the beauty, you don't have to type the whole name. If I want to send a message to my mate Ben Morgan and Ben Williams, then I type in "Be". Then the phone prompts me with checkboxes to choose all the recipients I mean. So I get a list Ben Morgan, Ben Williams, Becca and Bedfo. I can then check all the boxes of the names I want to send to. If I only had 1 contact starting "Be" it would just fill in that contact without prompting me - typing "All" fills in Allan's details straight away.
I just find it handier than going to the list. I think you need to try it to see what I mean!!
no... your right... it is quicker! 😉
Started using it this weekend.... its all good.
