I'm trying to use App Test Lite for 3d edition phones. I've set up the
SymbianSigned directory on E: with my SIS in it. However when I try
and run the tool to install my app it reports:
Testing aborted
Launching of app failed
See logs for details:
C:\SymbianSigned\Logs
One hitch, I don't seem to be able to access C:\SymbianSigned to find
the log, PC Suite doesn't let me see the directory and there's no file
manager for 3rd edition to access it with, so....does this mean I now
need to write some code to go and get the log file from
C:\SymbianSigned and copy it to somewhere I can read it?
Are there any stupid restrictions like developer certificate apps
can't be run by the tool? If so how else can I test an app with a
restricted UID ready for signing?

The Y-browser file mmanager appears to be a capable file manager. It shows
all the folders on a drive, even though it won't let you enter the protected
ones (like /sys and /private). It seems quite possible that the PC suite
hides certain folders, given it is a user-level tool.

Thanks, very useful. Got my error now:
"The SIS did not contain an application with the same UID as that of
the SIS"
I thought SIS files and applications weren't meant to have the same
UID? I thought there were seperate. Does this mean recently submitted
app is going to fail signing becaue of this?

I am afraid so, if the tools says so.
But it has always at least been customary to give the sis file the same UID
as the .app, if there was an app in it.
