Hi, I'm pretty certain I know the answer to this question, and it involves another firmware update, but I've come across a problem with my revision: 4.0623.0.42 (not IE) and I wondered if anyone else had the same problem and a solution.
When I go to an RSS feed from the Web application it automatically attempts to connect to my GPRS access point, which I have to pay for, rather than giving me any option to choose the WiFi access point, it just goes straight to GPRS.
There does not appear to be an option from the Web Feeds menu to change any kind of settings, and the Web application and WAP application are both set to 'Always Ask' as their access point.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Have you tried switching to the offline profile and then attempting the same. I'm assuming that it should then ask for the access point to connect to. Once connected, then try again with the normal profile (ie "online"/general etc.)

Haha! Just gave it a go. Now it tells me there is an 'Unknown Error'. It's funny when you know what the problem is, and the phone doesn't.
I just noticed it also comes up with a second message at the same time underneath the other one that says 'Unable to use network. Phone is in offline mode.'
I wonder if it is to do with some crappy setting O2 installed, or if it's Nokia's fault. My Revision Model is 92 (RM-92). I've been told that is in some way related to the service provider.

give me a link to a feed you are trying, I will have play ...
I just tried a feed and it downloaded the feed then asked me to open it. It used the wifi access point that I was connected to.
I have IE firmware .. I guess this answers your question ..
It does it on all of my RSS feeds, so I would imagine it is any of them you do too, it's just my firmware - Nuts!
The feed I was using was:
http://bleb.org/tv/data/rss.php?ch=bbc1 - I use it to find out what TV shows are on.
and
http://feeds.engadget.com/weblogsinc/engadget - To find gadget news.
I can't be assed to put on anymore 'cos i'll prolly need to update the firmware anyway and lose those feeds, like last time.

will just check your feeds, back in a sec with results ..
Hmmm...cant seem to access the engadget site on my N80,
but the bleb feed downloaded and opened using the wifi connection I was connected to at the time ....so all points to your phone, and probably as you mentioned the firmware, maybe somebody with the same f/w as you could double check the bleb feed.
