Scripting languages

With all these cool apps like motion detectors and stuff, wouldn't it be nice to be able to to scripting to tie applications together. What would be best? TclTk, Perl, Python, REXX, something else?

Yes,it would be really handy but i'm not avare of any scripting language on the 7650 so far.
