Hi

I have read a number of threads re streaming video and still cannot seem to get my N80 to work, I have only really tried news clips from the BBC (UK).

I have set port triggering on my router to 554 and the best i have got since then is partial streaming, i.e. sound but no picture. I also get memory full a hell of a lot. Desperatley want to get this to work but do not know what else I need to do.

software version 4.0623.0.42

Please help and in as simple terms only

Neil

N80 (and all others) have memory limitations... So close all applications before try to stream videos and even that way, not all videos is possible to see:frown:

Hi

I have tried that and still get problems, I have checked via the menu button that there are no other applications running (other than standby) and also switched off and then on before I try and download the video it is only 1:31 minutes long so do not see how it can be too large.

I have similar problems with streaming video, but have now managed to get some BBC ones to work. I fixed my phones IP in my router, and put it in a DMZ, so I don't have to mess around with port forwarding etc etc. Also, I'm sure you have done but make sure real player is set up for your access point (this bit is really annoying as you have to change it manually everytime you use a different access point.

One other thing, not all the bbc videos will work. I have found that the only ones I can get to work are those that come with the option to "Play in stand alone real player" Otherwise the website tries to load up its own built in player.

Hope that helps a little.

the only website that i found that works is tinytube.net that download 3gp videos(some where pretty big like 8 mb)
