N80IE Internet Problems

Has anyone else had this problem with their N80? That is when you are surfing the web the phone will suddenly close the browser & you find yourself back in the standby screen. It also disconnects you from GPRS/3G. You don't even get an error message. It still has this problem even after upgrading to the IE version.

That could be provoked by third part software... Check if some is running on background.

Sounds to me like the browser ran out of memory and crashes.
Mine used to do that all the time before I updated the firmware, it still does it, sometimes for 500k sites, but it has gone up to 2mb before, so its very variable.
Recommendation: Update the firmware.

Not experienced this problem so couldn't offer a solution I am afraid, but make sure all unnecessary apps are closed by pressing and holding the menu key and closing everything you are not using

I am not running any third party applications & I only upgraded to IE firmware the week before last so I am assuming it's the most recent firmware?

Or even multiple 'windows' another way for the app to run out of memory very quickly. Also try clearing the cache before you start browsing, see if you get a longer life out of it before it crashes.
