Searching the forums, seems to indicate that I'm the only one experiencing this problem. Or.. the problem may be considered a feature of the N80...
Whenever I connect to WLAN's og GPRS networks, I always get a "A serverconnection is required. Connect?" Even when using Birdstep.
Any suggestions? (or am I missing a thread somewhere...?)
I think its a standard for that to show up
Is like that... or I don+t understand well. But for N80 you have a lot of information around.

I think you'll find it's meant to do that, Pbas, as it's informing you that it's about to make a data connection, and therefore incur possible expense, if for example, not on a wi-fi connection. It's just the phone's nicely friendly way of saying "what you are attempting to do may cost you money - are you sure you want to?"😊

Sort of figured that..🙄 The real expense here was to get this - otherwise fine - piece...
We're grownups, aren't We... Should be possible to turn it off, I think!
But thanks people for responding!
