Internet Connection Timeout Error

I noticed that on occasions at certain internet hotspots I will obtain an internet connection timeout error. It tends to take place on websites that are bulky and require longer time to load.

Is there a way for me to extend the WLAN idle time? Where can I find this setting? Thanks.

I doublechecked the affected web site using my Nokia 770 tablet and can get to the site without any issue, but the tablet is set with a WLAN idle of 10 minutes.

Thanks for your help!

I think WLAN idle time is more to do with detecting how long before it switches the Wi-Fi off when there is no data.

What hot spots are you using? Public or home?

I've never noticed this for large pages, my browser just tends to crash -- drop me to the standby screen.

I am in the US and am using wifi at Caribou cafe. I read some where on the web that someone have similar issue but when he set the WLAN idle to a higher value the issue went away.
