The E61 is an international business phone.
I bought it in Brussels and use it in Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong.
Why can this thing only display Dutch and English??
I saw the E61 is sold in Hong Kong.
That implies Chinese display.
When and HOW can I get Chinese character display on this phone?
(like on my other NOKIA's already for years).
There are other firmwares which have chinese character support.
Can I recommend you google "Chinese display E61" (Without quotes). I just found the answers in the first few links.
The firmware is one thing, the other is the keypad/keyboard. The Nokia phones sold with Chinese language have some Chinese characters on the keypad/keyboard. This is for keying massages/text. So, one just cannot get the firmware if the keypad/keyboard in not with Chinese characters. This is what I saw on the E-70 that I have and other Nokia phones that I have owned over the years.
I have a similar problem with an E70, which I just bought in the US from a Nokia store in New York City.
This E70 has only English, French and Spanish installed.
Any advice on how to install some Chinese software or fonts on the E70 so that I can read websites in traditional Chinese would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
