I was wondering if it was possible to switch carriers and still keep my precious n80. It runs on Quadband EDGE/GSM 850/900/1800/1900 + WCDMA 2100 MHz. So on paper it works. Ha. Any help would be greatly apprieciated.
cingular to verizon
Well if you live in the US im pretty sure your phone is not a certified phone for neither of the carriers so that would mean that you bought the phone or something. Canceling a contract will cost 100$ to 200$ dollars

This is not possible as Verizon uses CDMA and EV-DO, not GSM/GPRS/WCDMA.
On top of this, Verizon has no S60 devices, and the phones don't use SIM cards so it's not like you could pop in a Verizon SIM into your phone.

Doesnt Verizon use 850 GSM?
Verizon is not a GSM network operator. As mentioned, they have a CDMA network where GSM/WCDMA phones do not work at all (and neither do CDMA phones on GSM/WCDMA networks).
