It seems that after a gentle kick from yours truly Nokia N93 firmware updates via Nokia Software Update are finally back online after 3 months downtime. Moreover, the next-gen (masses more RAM, WLAN wizard, Search, Download!) v20.0.58 firmware is finally available, though watch out for a nasty camcorder bug. (Via Symbian Freak)

I'm definitely surprised they re-release the same old firmware from last year on NSU. I thought they'd skip this version altogether because of the NSU problems and the reported bugs. Is there a newer one in the works?

Hi all,
I have had this version since it was announced by NOKIA that it was pulled from NUS and only available via Nokia Service Centres as that is my preferred method for getting updates. What exactly is this nasty video cam bug? because as of yet i have not experienced anything bad at all in fact the update has been all good as far as i am concerned.

Hi Steve,
Sorry to hear of your woes but it does appear that not all N93's are equal as many others also report other strange behaviours from there devices running the same firmware. I have heard many complain that after a short period of time there devices get slower and slower yet many others don't which makes absolutely no sense to me but i don't doubt they are telling the truth just find it very strange and impossible to understand.
