Read the article thought Cool! and then thought, can I get it ....
So yes - can I get it ? Anyone know ? Feeling thick after reading the article and not really knowing ...
BTW found out recently that 3uk are going to be doing the N95 soon!!! which hopefully timing wise should co-incide with my next upgrade! The more I get used to it the more I think that the N80 should have been the best phone - with Podcasting, Skype VOIP, good camera etc... - hoping that the N95 will be without the downsides!!!
Yes, you can get FP2 by buying a new phone.
No you won't be able to update your N80 to FP2 as is stated in the comments below the article. This is a pretty standard thing as none of the previous firmwares have allowed updating to more advanced feature packs... there is presumably some limitation in the hardware that prevents this.

Yes, that limitation in the hardware is called marketing strategy. New features sell more phones.

Or, rather than having anything to do with marketing strategy, it is called Return-On-Investment, of which there is little in adapting a whole new OS version and S60, etc., to old hardware. While some might find it useful, very few would be willing to pay, or buy old hardware with the new sw, so it is best to get the returns on new devices.
Just business, as always🙄
Cool - wish I could get it - there are a few bits I kinda want ... And if I am honest, I want them on my present phone!!! Cheers for the feedback, was feeling a bit like I was missing something.
