P 990 i firmware upgrade

I have a recent P990 i - issued by and locked to Orange.

In system information - the firmware presently is:

Phone CXC 162037 R76A001
Bluetooth CXC 162058 R4F01
Organiser CXC162036 R3B01
CDA CDA 162008/16 R3A02

I have done one update using the installed Update Service software and the
firmware is still as listed above (this was done on 08/02/07).

I know that the latest update phone firmware is R9EC001 - but when I start
the Update Service it is telling me that the firmware on the phone is up to date.

This can not be correct. Can anyone help me with this ? I thank you in anticipation.

Hi Chill,

I have a very similar problem...

I have a P990i which was from Orange and was locked until I got it unlocked.

However, I cannot update my phone at all and never have been able to :frown:

I have the same System Info too apart from the Phone details... (maybe your typo?)
