New N80.ie TruPhone won't work!

12 replies · 2,214 views · Started 13 February 2007

Well i sent the text to their number and followed all the right links but still doesn't seem to register with the service. I'm using a Linksys WRT54G router.

I have searched the forums and read all the threads.. also read the countless guides and FAQ's and Known issues on truphones website but i feel like i am missing something

if someone would kindly guide me correctly i would really appreciate this, really want to avail the free calls offer from Truphone before it ends!

When the truphone wizard tries to verify it just stays there, times out and asks to reboot. after the reboot i go to Internet>internet tel> and try to connect (it says Truphone above and Home below it) it just never connects.

A comprehensive reply would clearly make my day since i am a new N80 user and would love to see what this baby can do!

Thanks in advance mates!

I had the same problem so i just didnt verify and went into internet telephone settings and connect to truphone. You need to forward some ports, port 5060, 5004 and 10000.

how do i forward ports mate? and i do try to connect but it just says connecting and its at that. I have UpNp enabled so why doesn't the phone open the ports itself?

192.168.1.1 for linksys settings, go to wireless and then in one of the settings it should says port forwarding
Step 1: 192.168.1.1 in ur adress bar in the web browser
Step 2: Username should be admin and password blank if its the first time ur in the settings
Step 3: Press Games and Applications on top.

anything i just wrote TRU or something and then write for the forwarding ports 5060 to 5060

no go dude. i'm even trying GIZMO VoIP but it still doesn't work. can u give me a screenshot of how you've forwarded your ports? i get the cross type sign beside my network name in INTERNET TEL but it says not connected above that. guys please help me out!

guys help me out with this will ya. i've tried truphone, challengermobile, gizmo VOIP.. none will register. it just says unable to connect. i have changed all protocols in the SIP settings to TCP incase UDP is being blocked.. i gave the phone a static ip and put it in the DMZ on the router.. and it still doesnt connect.

PLEASE help.. today is my birthday and i really want to make free calls! CASH please help!

it finally worked guys. thanks for the input, was a problem with the router firmware. all done now. made calls too 😃

i want to know how i can merge two internet calls together to make a conference call..
