Memory Full. Delete Some Data

6 replies · 20,228 views · Started 17 February 2007

Hi to all!
I've got a problem with my wonderful N73
From time to time I get the "Memory Full. Delete some data." message.
I go in Memory Details ----> Phone Memory and see that memory in use is 44Mb, Free memory just few Kbs, but there's no reason for this! because:

Calendar 407 B
Contacts 50 KB
Messages 162 kB
Images 0 kB
Sound files 42 kB
Video clips 0 B
Documents 1 kB
Applications 0 B

so all that I can do is to back-up phone memory, format phone's memory and then restore all the data. After I do so things are back to normal for some days, but phone's memory slowly goes down untill it reaches just few Kbs.
I really don't know what to do, it's not a firmware problem because I changed it and problem still persists.
PLEASE HELP MEEEEE! :frown:

Actual firmware is:
V 3.0705.0.0.31
26-01-2007
RM-133
(c) Nokia N73 (01)

Yes its clear, have you installed any applications on your N73?

have you tried *#7370# as a reset, you will need to back up all personal things first i think, contacts, phone memory etc

Yes I tried the *#7370# reset, I tried the hard format too (3 + * + green button), but the problem always comes again... :frown:

Hi! So u having trouble on memory? It's normal for nokia phones. Installed any of task manager that suit your phone model than close application that is running except system file. 4 example u open a pdf file on ur phone and it stated low memory, either u check the running apps n close em or if it doesn't work the file u were trying to open is to large. I suggest below 1.9Mb files only can be open. Thats all i can help u with.

i've experienced the same problem man, and what i did was try the *#7370# code, (oh, i backed up my contacts in my mem card and all...) and then, removed my mem card. i checked my phone mem but was still to low on free space, my friend told me to wait for like 10 minutes or so, and mysteriously, my free mem boomed up to 31MB! I dunno why man, but it kinda restored by itself! This is annoying and I know in the future it will happen again. I don't know if my sharing helped but hey, it happened to me, it will to you guys too.

I had this exact same problem.

Turn the phone off. Take the battery out (completely remove it). Wait 10 seconds. Put the battery back, and boot up your phone.

The problem should now be gone!
