Cannot install any jar

Hello,

I have a e60 with a huge problem.
I cannot install any jar file on it. Sis files works!
I set complete to the settings but no way to install java files (also 3rd edition).

I searched the forum, groups, internet but without any result.

Can you help me?

Which .jar files and from where?

What does "no way to install" mean? What do you do, exactly (step-by-step)? What happens (including any and all error messages)?

any jar i try to install start correctly, but when it's near to the end it gives me an error ("impossibile installare" in italian...).
With sis I don't have any problem.

i copy the .jar to the phone memory or memory card then launch it with the file browser on the phone. my phone being an e61 but i suppose it should be the same for the e series phones.

I had a similar problem but with N80 and sis files. All solved after phone format - *#7370# - but with a backup first, because the lost is total:icon4:

Hey guys,

These are some of what i called "best practises":

1. Always download and install any app from a trusted site.
2. Install any 3rd party app in your external memory card
3. If installation failure, goto Application Manager and change it's setting to;
- Software Installation = All
- Online Certif. Check = Off
