Can you confirm if you made a mistake in the Z8 preview. In it you said it captures up to 30fps in qvga but ive heard lots of people it only plays back at 30fps but cannot capture at that rate. Is this true? Does it capture at 30fps?

Thanks

Yes, it does. QVGA (320x240) in HIGH quality is captured at up to 30 fps (depending on use/compression/etc).
Remember though, the human eye is only good for around 25 fps - anything more is not noticeable.

Video below has just been recorded on my DEV handset (ie: with debug running, which can slow it down), and it recorded at 29.15 fps.
Includes some ZOOMING too, so you can see that in action 😊

Sample Z8 Video (25 secs / 1.2MB)

To see the fps, right click and "save as", then use QuickTime to view it, and then click on Window / Show Movie Info to see the tech details as it plays.
