m600i how can I replace software from chinese version to UK or US version

how can I have the software replaced so that it is identical to my white phone with R9ec001? Is there anyway to forcefeed the black phone with this software?

I'm having the same issue! Can anybody help! I really like M600i but having the Chinese software, is a hassle, and seems really buggy!

Your black phone with CDA 162016/87 is as you say a Hong Kong region Generic version. The only way to make it World Generic (as your White one..) is to "unlock" it using one of the many services provided by firms all over the world. Some of them requires you to send the phone to them (have seen many of them in the UK). There are alsy other providing the software downloadable from the Internet and you have to by a code to "activate" it (typically 6-10 euro).

Thanks superswede. I had already gifted away my phone and the modification was done in India by SonyEricsson for about $5.
