I am just playing with my new E61 (Vodafone) and have found the record button on the side to be easily knocked and starts recording, is there a way of disabling this button?
Another problems I have found are memory full errors when I try to watch a news video download from the BBC site for example, does any one else have these problems and is there better replay software for this phone which does not give the memory full errors?
One final query I have, although this may not be the best place for this query, PDF files recievedby the E61 via Blackberry Connect cannot show drawings, and there is no way to save the attachments separately are these known issues or are there workarounds.

No. If you upgrade to the latest firmware though (version 3), pressing the record button will only launch the recording application but will not start recording straight away.

Haven't tried BBC videos but i've played several full length movies in RealPlayer without any memory problems.
The ultimate media player application on symbian could be CorePlayer. That was supposed to be released 6 months ago but still isn't there and no release date has been announced yet even though it's supposed to be working fine now. They've supposedly demoed it at CES in January but i haven't yet heard of anybody who has seen the demo. There is no beta version and the developers have refused to upload screenshots or screencast of CorePlayer running on a symbian phone so many people are starting to wonder whether this media player really exists. I still hope that it's gonna come out some day because there is a serious lack of proper media player on symbian.
Hi
DO you know when version 3 will be available via nokia updater?

It is already. I've upgraded to version 3 via Nokia updater just before christmas if i remember correctly. Note that if you device is branded, that is if you bought it via a mobile phone network operator, the new firmware will need to be approved by your operator before you can install it on your phone. This can take 2 months, 6 months, a year or never happen (never EVER buy a smartphone via a network operator). If you've got a SIM-free version, you should be able to upgrade via Nokia Software updater. If that doesn't work, try to update to the latest version of PC suite, disable any firewall you might have or try from another PC.
EDIT: i just saw in your first post that your device is Vodaphone branded. If Nokia Software updater says that you've got the latest version of the firmware even though you only have version 1 or 2, all you can do is contact vodaphone and ask if they'll ever release version 3 of the firmware for their customers. There are ways to install the generic firmware on an operator branded device but it can be risky. I've never done it but there are enough info on various forums that explain how to do it.
nchesh, try the autolock app (http://fuse.stc.cx/autolock/) to minimize the impact of the record button... I'm using it and never had any troubles with my E70 (which also has a useless record button on its side)
