Have many people had problems with the joystick falling off on their N73?
After 1 day of use mine has fallen off. A friend has had this happen to his too. In the 3 weeks he's had his the joystick has been replaced 3 times
Now I take good care of my phones & I can honestly say its not been thrown about or pulled off. My local service centre charges �15 for this repair & I don't like the idea that it will be something of a regular occurance.
The phone is aon the 3 network, as is my friends. (I doubt this would matter though?)
I have had quite a few joystick phones, like 6600 etc.. all the same kind of joystick as N73 and never had this problem ever!
First i heard of it, thats quite mad really.. plus 3 times in 3 weeks!
�15 for the repair? thats a bit steep.
I've finally totally lost the joystick on my N73, and am casually looking around for replacements.
A full keyboard is available for just over a tenner. You can get the whole thing - joystick, and the actual keyswitch underneat for a fiver from ebay. And search a little more, and you can get the whole cover/keyboard for less than �20 (in either red, black, silver, pink, gold ... ).
I can see an order being put in quite soon, as the same seller has the HS-20 for about half the typical UK pricing 😊
If your joystick requires repair within the warranty period and you are paying for it's repair, more fool you.
