broken keyboard!

okay, i did something VERY stupid.

i was at a party and spilt beer all over my P990i. luckily everything still works fine, apart from the 'i' button on the keyboard, which does nothing when pressed. (the camera cover sticks a bit as well but i can live with that). as i generally use the keyboard more than i use the handwriting recognition this has become a bit of a problem. i have to try and 'write' the letter I on the screen with my finger or stylus whenever i want it.

im thinking about opening the device up to see if its a bit of beer gunge or something stuck in there stopping the key working. are there any disassembly guides out there? google hasn't helped me.

as i say, its not a huge problem but it is a very annoying niggle.

cheers. 😊

simon.

I've taken the flip off my P990i and always use the "soft" keboard when entering text. I find that a lot easier than using the real keys, think my thumbs are just too big!
