"whoa-baby, I've got those D-Pad blues...." *harmonica solo*

It was only yesterday
I did a reset (hard),
(bah bah bah bah dum)
Backed up my stuff,
formatted memory card
(bah bah bah bah dum)
Was working fine today,
got everything reset,
(bah bah bah bah dum)
And now I'm troubled
with my worst problem yet
(bah bah bah bah dum)
Said it ran out of memory,
which caused me to frown
(bah bah bah bah dum)
Cos now my shiny D-Pad,
won't work up and down
(bah bah bah bah dum)
If anyone can help,
I know it be yous
(bah bah bah bah dum)
Cos Whoa-oooooooh baby -
I got the D-pad blues......*

WHAT
THE
HELL!

😃

You know you said you'd be drinking... well did that effect the D-pad too???

Has a restart changed anything??

Removal of MMC and turn on without it in the phone??

Anything?

restarted phone....nothing.
took out mem card....nothing.

Left phone off overnight, plus formatted mem card = it works! I can move the d-pad up and down and select stuff!

Hooray! Im so happy I could sing......

"......" *shuts up*

It's only gone and done it again! (no singing this time). DPAD will not work up and down, and neither will the central select button. This is getting to be a bit of a pain in the a**e.

Had no-one else had this problem before?

it's working intermittently now. Must be a dodgy connection or something. Shame I live out in the sticks, wouldn't have a clue where my nearest Nokia Repair centre was. Probably Norwich, I suppose.

there is a freepost nokia service center address.... and if your near Norwich ... if you can get hold of a company called Anovo there (I think) they fix all the phone handsets... although they may be an O2 care house... not sure...
