okay, i dont know if im just trippin but i noticed that with the presence of light in the room the nokia n73 turns off its keypad backlight...omg, i didnt know that!

The ambient light sensor on the N73 sits just to the left of the front-side camera.
It is a feature to conserve battery and has been in many Nokia phones for a number of years now.
