N73 Restarts When Data Cable is Removed

Hi All, My N73 keeps restarting when I remove the Data Cable after using Mass Storage mode, I 'eject' the phone from the PC and get the all clear message, but when I pull the connector out the bottom, the display corrupts, fades out, then the phone starts back up again.

Anyone know what this could be caused by?

I've tried it again immediately after it restarted and it 'ejected' just fine.

Running latest Vodafone firmware.

Version 3.0638.0.0.1

Checked the cable in what way? It's brand new and came with the phone.

Hmmm... Never heard of Mass Storage mode causing a reboot. When I said check the cable, I meant check for defects, etc. Is it connected via a hub or direct to a USB port on the motherboard ?

Instead of disconnecting the Pop Port connector, try disconnecting the USB plug instead. See what that difference makes.

Whatever, it doesn't sound healthy and I'd be taking it back to the shop if I were you.

Bought from eBay so no-where to take it back to, will have to test some more and see if i can reproduce the problem.

Just tried it another couple of times, even tried starting tomtom then shutting it down incase it remained in memory but its now fine, could it be down to be not cleanly unplugging the pop connector?
