my fully charged battery was left overnight and when i got up 7 hours later the battery was on 1 bar! Do you think the battery is faulty or have you guys come across anything else that it could be with the n80?

nothing running or connected, phone on gsm only.

v3.0617.0.6
03-05-2006
rm-92
nokia n80 (33.01)

its on contract with o2

ummm weird numbers there were are you in the world?

have you thought of upgrading the firmware through the nokia site

before i changed it to a N80ie i had naff batt life now i leave WLAN on TRUPHONE on MSN LIVE on + other things like use the music player in the day ect and i get a full day which i think is good considering how i ramp it. saying that i dont use much batt life when its left alone i cant say ive reall noticed it move..

do you use sleep mode aswell??

as he's on O2 I guess he's in the UK?!

old f/w version tho.. so yeah, an upgrade might improve it BUT 7hours with no use is wrong... so looks like theres an issue elsewhere.

yes i'm uk. I have sleep mode on etc. For max battery life.
I might try a firmware update off the o2 or nokia site.

i did have a similar problem a few months ago with the battery running down much quicker than usual but the problem disappeared after a few days! Will have to see how it goes!

as a matter of interest is there any replacement batteries available with more power than the stock nokia item?

thanks guys/gals

there are other batteries that 'say' they have better pwoer ratings, but users havent said anything positive about them yet.

i got the phone new last july.

are you saying it could be on its way out already?

can anyone recommend a cheap source of genuine nokia n80 batteries in the uk? Might as well give a new battery a shot!

thanks

Apparently there are fault on some N80. The one you mention is one of them and is beyond repair if I'm not wrong. As I know some owner which send in got a new set instead. 😊

N80 is an N80 no matter which provider. And yes, fully charge in the morning(9am) answer a few call during the day and by 3pm, its almost drain about 1 bar. Just send it in for repair and they will check your battery and Phone. 😊

Well i've bought a new battery so i'll see how it goes, it seemed better today when i charged it with my other charger at work.
