Finally out for sale ,the new revolutionary input method; text is typed with the movement of the joystick.You can use the MiniBoard just like a real keyboard.
The software was developed to make text input easier and more comfortable. This input method is used by many PDAs, but since there�s no stylus you can navigate between the characters, letters and numbers with the joystick and the soft keys.

Convict are you the developer of this program? Ive been trying it today and find it a lot slower than using the keypad. Will you be thinking of adding some kind of T9 or other text prediction on the future to make input faster? Being able to type without having to open the keypad is great but I do find it very slow.

We are diferent about that matter.
No offence as you've probably slaved over this application, but I'd have to say if I was going to buy this application for $10, I'd rather spend another $2 and get Soft Keypad.

The only thing your application does is allow for text input without the keypad open. It doesn't allow for easier and quicker inputting. Soft Keypad has the right idea. Minimal keystrokes with T9. Alot of us already have sore thumbs from the joystick as it is. :P

Well ive been using Palms and PocketPCs for the past 4ish yeasrs so im used to using onscreen keyboards. They work well with a stylus because you can easily jump from one side of the screen to the other but with the joystick it is slow. A FITALY layout may have been quicker, with all the common keys clustered around the center.

O.K You are right.But there is few question for ya,
1, Do ya have Enter?
2, Do ya have tabulator?
3, Do ya have 'easy' backspace in Soft Key?
4, Can You read your doc full screen mode with it?
5, or can You clear all the wrong words for one click?
O.k The miniBoard and the SoftKey are two differnt thing.
Don't make any comparison.
I tried softkey but I always lost time when I typed wrong letter than i have to clear or when I need a space.
I don't think the soft key prog is better,only one thing what it can be better for now is the T9 nothing more.But they have a third version.The miniboard it's 1.0 as you can see.
No need to get your knickers in a knot mate! 😃 And NO, they're not different. They serve the same purpose, don't they???
As I said... "no offence". Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. You seem to think that your Miniboard is the best... and I like to think not. It's called customer feedback. It's the only way you can improve your product... so go have your kick and scream somewhere else :P
Fair enough Soft Keypad may not have all those "luxuries" you mentioned, but at least it doesn't make my thumb sore after using it for 2 minutes 😃
As I can remember, Soft Keypad does have "space" as pressing the joystick as I recall, but who bloody cares. I'm not going to use my N7650 as a word processor to even worry about "tabs" 😃

Maybe that's the reason why you have Trial Periods. As a developer, try to take all these things constructively. Don't be too defensive. Goodness, how are you gonna sell if you do that.

I know it won't make a difference, but I'm not going to purchase this "Miniboard" not now I know the developer thinks I have a weak thumb 😃
but if convict is going to lash out at every comment made about his product, I don't think he'll sell much. For example, if I was to say something to Ximplify about SeleQ (which is a marvellous program by the way) and have Ximplify get all defensive and basically tell me where to go, I don't think I would purchase their products in the future either. Understand that not only is your product on trial here, but also your customer service.
Consumers give feedback so the developers may enhance the product in future releases. If everyone was to shut up and not say anything, you'd go on thinking that product is the best thing since sliced bread then wonder why people won't buy any more of your products. It's called "word of mouth advertising".
I never said your program sucked. I was just exercising my common right of opinion. Just as you had the common right to opinionate that your products was "the best and easiest way to enter data". By the way, you did think your app was the best. Read your first post on this thread 😃
And as my experience only being "one in a million", don't be surprised if other people say they get sore thumbs too 😃
in my opinion i like the idea of the miniboard, especially that there maybe even arabic software! It's just a matter of opinions and experiences, that's what makes the world go round! (pepsi! :P) different opinions and tastes. 😃

Miniboard would be perfect if the N7650 came out with a joystick like the T68i did. Trust me, I have this semi-permanent dent in my thumb since I got the N7650 😃
Ok, the good thing about this application, is a start for the customers to come from. There will be a lot more of suggestions that would make this application better than it is right now. Just keep it up. 😉

I was only made for the marketing on handango and I've been here at this forum for a short time,and everybody talks new programsI made the marketing with handango because I have not lot to go couse I handicapped and I speak better english.So when i say I am not like Soft key it's my opinion about the prog is not much just customer feedback.

Domi (developer of File Explorer) took the critism with the praise. And look how his product is becoming better and better.

As you are not the developer you may want to pass this coment on to yout friend. Other than the fact that I find it slow its big drawback is that it doesnt integrate with anything so unless you take a lot of notes on your phone its useless to anyone even if they are able to enter text quicky with it. If it could be used more like Soft keypad and intergrated with other applications so it could be used for inputting urls, filling in fields on wap and web pages, entering text into contact fields ect. it would have more use to a wider group of people. I personally dont like Soft Keypad either, I do find entering text quicker but the way it uses T9 lets it down.
