Broken screen

I turned on my phone recently to find just 2 thick black lines as if the LCD has been cracked. I cant see any physical crack but it is possible it got broken whilst in my pocket.

I have tried to get a new screen but people tell me Sony havent released parts for this phone. Does anyone know where i can get this repaired (and roughly how much ) or where to get a new screen from?

Thanks

My w950 fell from a chair onto floor (did not hit it hard) while transferring data from my pc and screen was cracked.
I brought it on online auction one month earlier with no guarantee :frown: (paid R3700- about 270). The guy I brought it from managed to have it repaired (sent overseas Taiwan i don't know exactly) cost R1500 in total (110)- apparently the touchscreen has its own processor or something and is also linked to the antenna and the whole thing had to be replaced (LED R800, antenna R330, transport R400).
Phone worked fine for about 3 weeks (apart from minor software problems many of which have been mentioned on this topic section).

Since last night the touchscreen is malfunctioning- it reads the point of contact of the stylus with the screen as about 3cm from the actual position. This means that i cannot actually access the top 3cm of the screen (eg. task manager, battery icon, drop down menu on top left corner) and using the phone has become a real headache. It was not dropped or anything like that- just started on its own.
The strange thing is that for the week before this the Play/Stop and Volume button on the right side of the phone were not working. Since this problem started they are now working again.

So far have just tried to master reset the phone with no luck. I'm not sure what to do. I really regret buying this phone it would have been great if it worked but it doesn't!! Should have just gotten w850 with a 4GB card not much price difference, has camera, and no touch screen headaches.

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated!

Do a search on eBay UK and you will be able to find a screen - they are the same as M600i.
