my missus called me (no that aint the scary thing) the scary thing was im sure it was stephen hawking saying her name over the ringtone. what is this all about and how do i turn it off its god awful.

menu > Tools > Profiles > choose a profile > Personalise > Say caller's name > Off
It is a good feature with, e.g., a car kit or Bluetooth headset; you don't have to look at the phone to know who is actually calling.
