Only thing besides the look of 3650, that is bothering is the place of the memory.
You have to take out the battery if you need to change memory card 😞

Isn't it launched already in Asia? The launch date was 19th dec, but I don't know if they are actually for sale already.
The finnish club nokia site said that it looks like the winners should receive the 3650s in february.

It is available in Hong Kong now about HK$3500 which is about US448.

😮 already out in hk??? AARGH!!! when will it b out in sg?!?!?! 😃

When are they finally going to give the exact date of the release. Do they want to built up the tension or something :-? I want to see a release date instead of "early 2003".

Come on Nokia, give a release date :bday:

The 3650 will not be released fully until it gets the OK from the American authorities. Thats why they havent got a release date.

It seems FCC approval (ie. US approval) was attained 27th Dec 2002 for the 3650. It's already on sale in Hong Kong (Chinese version only). Any English versions out there are prototypes/off-back-of-the-lorry.

They only show that FCC message on nokiausa.com and not on the other nokia site's (the europe and asian ones) So i think it will be released here in europe even if the FCC doesn't approve it in (north-)america.

http://mobile.burn.com/news.jsp?Id=198 - appears it does have FCC Approval. I can't see where it says otherwise.

For UK users, Carphone Warehouse expect the 3650 March 2003 (according to www.carphonewarehouse.co.uk).

As for memory, it may be awkward but at least it'll be protected! My answer.... buy a big memory card that doesn't need to be changed. www.expansys.com is a good place as is www.dabs.com - I think you can get a 64Mb card for around 30 (128Mb around 50-60). That's certainly what I'll be doing, as well as buying a bluetooth adapter for my PC then hey presto - no real need to remove memory.

As for the 7650 or the 3650 - definitely wait! You've got limited memory on the 7650 plus I personally hate the look when the keypad is down, but that is purely my opinion. You've also got the benefit of Tri-Band.

As for cost, I would imagine that the 3650 would be around 200 with a contact, I don't see it being much lower and given the market they are aiming at neither do I see it being substantially more. (I was given an estimate of 250-280 for the P800 by a guy from phones4u).
