N73 CK7W Help!

Hi Guys,

Hope someone out there can help, this is driving me mad!

After doing some research I bought the CK-7W and CR-27, the phone fits the holder fine and charges via the pop-port which is what i wanted. But the car kit will not work via the pop-port only via bluetooth. Has anyone got the CK-7W and N73 working through the pop-port?

The problem is, if I connect the pop-port it disables the bluetooth so I cant charge it and use the bluetooth at the same time :frown: The only thing I can think of doing is disconnecting the wires in the holder and just leave the charge pins connected, that way I can leave the pop-port connected to charge the phone and then the CK-7W should allow the bluetooth to work?

I've tried upgrading the firmware to 3.0705.1.0.31 ME but it still does the same, although it has fixed loads of other faults!😊

Sorry for complicated description! Any help would be appreciated!

Rob

This problem is not specific to the N73 so upgrading firmware will have no effect on it.
My company car has the Nokia CK-7W carkit installed, but with a holder for a 6021. The carkit is both a wired and bluetooth kit, (or at least mine is).
Problem for me was, the car has a bluetooth stereo fitted as well, which I wanted to use for the works phone, which I use most.
As you say, once you put the phone into the holder, it becomes a wired carkit and disables the bluetooth. I had to experiment with blocking off certain pins in the connector to get it to work as I wanted.
I now have my 6021 charging in the carkit but connected bluetooth to the car stereo, and at the same time, I have my N73 connected bluetooth to the CK-7W allowing me to receive calls handsfree on either one.
