N80 on a go slow!

3 replies · 2,154 views · Started 04 March 2007

After about a months use the phone has become slower, especially sending texts and responding to certain applications. Memory looks like this:

on board
in use 24mb
free 22mb
calender 10kb
contacts 35kb
messages 36kb
images 5778kb
apps 135kb

memory card
592mb in use
395mb free
33kb images
355mb sound files

Now I do have a couple if videos but these don't seem to be recognised.

This data was taken via file manager.

Any ideas to speed it up again?

Can I do a reset that won't change any of my settings or loose data/apps?

thanks
Paul

Hi there -

i've got the latest firmware and this upgrade doesn't fix the speed problem - i found when I installed gizmo the phone slows down dramatically and the battery lasts a shorter period of time.

I'm going to do a hard format/rest and try using it for a while without installing the gizmo VOIP app to see if it makes a difference.
