N73 Upgrade And Lock Code Error

Hi,
Can anyone help?
I recently updated my phone from sw ver. 3.0649.0.0.1 to 3.0704.1.0.1 but it looks like the upgrade has altered the lock code hence the default code for 'Tools→Settings→Phone→General→Orig. phone settings' which used to be 12345 is nolonger operational instead the phone is giving CODE ERROR message. The same is applicale if I try to use the security protection 'Lock if SIM changed'on the phone. The default 12345 too is giving the same CODE ERROR message.

Phone type: 0527009 (RM 133)

Please what should be the problem and any way out?

The default should still be 12345. I don't know what causes your problem (if you or someone else did not change the default).

Default is 12345,
Once i had a problem of the fact i was putting 6 numbers in instead of 5 so make sure it is only 5..
But this shouldnt happen.. it should never change the lock code like that...
Lock code is very very hard to unlock without original code.

I wana know one thing from u . Can i update my firmware without lock code. Because i lost my lock code.
