Hi,
Don't know about the MP3 quality, but as a phone it is the best Nokia (5510 -- 6631) I have ever had. Even better then the 6310i. Only battery life is shorter, but I use carkit, so I don't even notice it. In fact its is slowly overtaken my PDA (Palm TX) with PIM prgms, and I like the (very small) size of it. With an added screenprotector (Brado of course ...) I just keep it in my pocket without scratches (don't put anythingg else in that same pocket).
Strongly recommanded.
These are all the major reviews of the Nokia E50 all in one place
I have one and find it an excellent phone. I've read some of the reviews and agree with all the positives.
My one and only gripe is with the voice recognition software. It can't cope with my Irish accent and I cannot record my own voice commands for contacts 😞

thanks for reply but could u be more precise with sound quality because iam ina mix now wether to go for 3250 or e50 because as 3250 reviews say that its music quality is same as any other symbian phones running on 3rd edition
I have an E50...
Only compliants:
1. They really need to up the font size, it'll ruin your eyes and,
2. The blue backlight though people have commented that it looks good, but I find it hard to see the letters on the keypads coming from a Nokia 5510 full QWERTY.
I use it for Music almost everyday in the car, I haven't noticed any heat up, it, but a collegue of mine did. It plays Divx encoded and Real Encoded files, but drops a lot of frames. However I was playing those files 'as is' no down converstation or transcoding, but the demo clips that came with Divx for Mobile player were playing fine.
Loudspeaker gets distored at full volume with music, but its fine with ringtones (Midis etc). Music Output is good enough for me, but I route my audio through a cassette adapter so naturally it'll be better with good headphones, speakers etc.
Small font is bothersome at times, but not a big concern unless you work in hostile environments.
Best Unique feature I like about the phone is its center pad blinks, if you have any missed calls or messages etc that need your attention, very nifty!

I don't use it for music so can't comment on that aspect of the phone
