key lock?

look, i know that the auto lock feature does not come on the N80, and you must use a 3rd party application.

with that said, ive tried out a number of keylock, all of which i did not like that much... the one that i did find useful was the "Handy keylock" made by those at the Epocware/Paragon Software Group.

i like the lock on slide feature, as well as the lock on time out feature.

:con?
**** now my question is, is there an application that does the same thing, lock on slide & time out, that is for free? If not, is there some way i dont have to pay $15 for this application??
:con?

Man,
These guys went and developed something. They worked to do it. They spent hours away from their family and friends, and here you are so cheap to pay out 15$?
So on one hand you dont like the free stuff, but when you try the stuff that people actually invested into making a cool product, you suddenly whine.
You are the proof that P2P sharing is overused by idiots. Yes, I do think there is a huge difference between copying movies and tv shows and copying software. you are a software thief.

First off, i was asking is there was indeed a similar application that did almost exactly what the Handy lock does! And second, whos to say that i dont shell out and pay for that software? Third, if you didnt have anything of useful information, why did you post? to badger me on a Fourm? and you Sir are proof that Fourms are overused by Idiots that like to hide behind their words and sit tall on there horse.

Now, what are some common applications, if it wasnt as clear as before, to Handy lock? common applications being that the N80 locks on slide, as well as having a time out?

if you come across anything, PM me please

what a load of crap, stealing is stealing no matter what it is, so i take it that you are also a p2p & bit torrent user and dont think twice about ripping of the latest movie or music title, get a life & get to the cinema!!!!

😡

i use mlock and assign it to the left selection key so i just press that to lock. i think it was a free program.

yea, mlock as well as autolock are both freeware, but ive used both of those, and do not like them... hence why i want an application that locks on slide, which is strikingly similar to handy lock.

handy lock is only $4.95 anyway.. not $15. so what... thats £2.40... a pint of lager??

are you basically looking for a keylock that locks on slide and if free??? Is that all or does your keylock program need something else??

I have to ask... why don't you like them? They do exactly what it says on the tin.

i like the lock on slide feature,

Maybe I'm being stupid .. but my N80, when you close the slide, it asks if you want to lock the keys; and I don't have any software installed that does that. Firmware:

V 4.0632.0.38
13-10-2006
RM-92
Nokia N80 (08)

no your not being stupid... it does do that...

but I can KIND OF enderstand the request that this person wants... i.e. when they slide the phone closed, it locks, rather than having to wait those few seconds to click the OK to lock option......

Although now... Im more than used to it and anticipate the option coming up... so its almost an autolock anyway
