All Java apps Broken -After - Upgrade to 4.0632.0.38

Yep, Upgraded today, and ALL my java apps stopped working.
Anyone know what's up, or have any ideas, or
can you point me to some help?

Thanks.

Hi Lovat,

Yes, unfortunately JAVA apps will need reinstalled after ANY FW upgrade. I don't know why, but assume something Java related in the internal phone memory is wiped during upgrade.

Hopefully you still have the original JAD & JAR files to reinstall?

Dez

yeah, it allways seams to happen after upgrading or reformating the phone, it is possible to identify and remove the offending apps, or reinstall them, or just wipe the whole card and start again. theres some info in this thread

Thanks guys.
Not the news I wanted, but thanks.

Now where did I get that really cool game from?

You can find the jars on the memory card if you look. I have pulled them back from mine before now.

Well, I got the .jar and .sis files off of the card.
So far, it's easy to re-install the .jar files, and they repace the installed files that are there, and work great.
I did not do any .sis files yet.

Hi m8s,

I wonder if u can help me. Every time I switch flash card between phone or install new firmware, I cannot start or open the java appplication from the menu/applications folder. The icons for the application is still in the folder. When I re-install the java application, I end up with two of the same icons but one doesnot work. I cannot remove the old icon as the phone would not let me delete the icon. I tried application manager but the javaprogram is not listed and I even remove the folder from the memory card by deleting the java folder in the private folder. How do I get rid of the old icon? I rather not reset the phone and lost the other applications. Thanks for your help.
