hide real player?
It must be there. So put the icon inside some less used folder.
no its not i think they hide it using file explorer or sumthing but i dunno where the file in explorer- plz tell me
You can't hide it because it is in ROM. Maybe your friends moved the icon into another folder.

That must be some file explorer. Iv bn racking my phone all day to see if its possible.
And i must say i don't think it is possible. They must have moved it to a folder somewhere, either that or your friends have really been doing their homework on Symbian platforms.
Moreover like ratza said ;its installed in the ROM it can't just be removed.
I know its possible to hide individual files from showing.-but a whole application!-i 'm not sure.
Except the hid a view server file for realplayer(in your ROM drive) ,but thats not possible cuz everything in the ROM is read-only!
I think they might be using some 3rd party app to tweak and hide your real player icon.
You could Google and check if such an App exists?

I just google for such an application and go this link;

I think there ARE actually ways of hidding applications, even without having to get a 3rd party app to do so
That's not for Symbian. Anyway, on Symbian it is enough to set attribute to hidden just on the icon or app file but is possible only for apps stored on MMC/phone memory. ROM is not accessible for writing to 3rd party file managers and can be changed only by updating firmware.

Sorry.
Still sure there's a 3rd party app out there that can be used.
You have to find the exact app file/icon 1st. And you can use an 3rd party application like yucca browser to change the files atributes to 'hidden'.
Don't be sure, because it is not possible to change the attributes of ROM files. None of the file explorers existing on the market can do that. ROM means Read Only Memory.
there is no real player folder in rom.
That's because the name of the player is actually Media Player.
