File transfer using WIFI?

Hi Guys, I am using N80 (Firmware V 4.0623.0.41)
Is there any software from which i can transfer files from my PC to the phone?
If it is possible then what will be the speed of the data transfer?
My bluetooth gives my 80 kbps but it takes long time to transfer a song to phone memory.

I use MyTunesRSS and Opera to download podcasts to my phone.

If you use Windows have you tried turning on UPNP on the N80?

SymSMB as the other person suggested looks promising at well.

hi neilmallon, i downloaded the software but i am quite confused about how to use it! ca you guide me for that??

EricSeale, i tried connecting to my PC using the ip 192.168.1.101 but the opera doesnt go beyond a particular stage.And how can i use upnp from my N80?? plz guide me for the same.

You cant access via IP, you need to deeplink a shortcut to the shared drive on the phone. i.e. if the conncetion is named "N80" and you are sharing the memory card on the phone thru that connection as "e" then create a shortcut to "\\N80\e" and you will see it there.

The How-To and Userguide on the telexy website will help you out.

Ask again if your still not getting it.

I have noticed that sometimes my memory card isnt shared right and my desktop shortcut doesnt work first time (I have it mapped to \\N80\e ) but I have also shared the phone memory and transfers to there are faster ( \\N80\c ) so I copy songs to there and move to memory card on phone to free up space. A ~4MB song takes ~15secs.

I tried the software and read everything from the site but i am still not able to pass beyond the login step. It is not letting me login and i have tried all the possible accounts.

The next thing i am going to try out is HOME MEDIA SERVER. I am getting a problem with my internet connection so i havent been able to downlaod it from the site!

On your computer, click Start -> control panel -> System -> Computer Name

Make a note of the Full Computer Name and use this as your account on SymSMB and you shouldnt have to login. Remeber to enable shared drives for this account, and this account in connection..

I hope their new version 2 is easier to use..

I wish i had UPnP working well but I had no luck at all with home media server.

Do you use the computer name as the Account name or Domain name? I'm a bit confused as my pc is not joined to any domain and i don't want to add a domain controller to my network. Does it not work with workgroups?

Can you please make it a bit clearer? There's not much info on the web regarding this...
