I have no lags. I cant really say whats caused the lag on our phone apart from
not having up to date firmware. May be update firmware and have the latest
tomtom software...well I have version 6.1 and it works fine.

i have

firmware v 3.704.1.0.1 this is the newist out

tomtom 6 is 6.010 build 7640 gps driver v1.20

gb map v650.1046

western europe map v660.1219

it dose run better with the we map...

I also have map lag on my n73

i have

firmware v 3.0638.0.0.1 this is the newest out for 3 nework

tomtom 6.010 build 7640

gps driver v1.20

gb plus major roads of WE v650.1046

Can those who dont have map lag please post their firmware and tomtom versions and also their network so us who have got lag can try to match up our phones with theirs.

this would be great help and thanks in advance 😊 :icon14:

Strangely I have exactly the same card but mine is 2GB. How often do you have the lag during your whole journey?

ok , i posted before about lag on my n73 with tomtom6, i have been onto my memory card manufacturers (dane elec) , they say that if the card has been formatted in fat 32 (win xp default) this can slow down the speed of the card , its supposed to be a x66 card and it is supposed to be formatted using fat 16.

i dont know if this will help , i am going to try it later on and give it a road test tomorrow.

I get my lag when the voice prompts come on and the map stalls for about 2 seconds or so , those people who dont get any lag could you please let me know if your memory card is fat 16 of fat 32 , thanks...

my pc tells me my sd card is just fat and not fat32 i can format it to fat or fat32
so i think when i got it and did a format in the phone it will have done it to fat...

Hi there, just found this forum and loadsa good info.

Anyway, I found Navicore q good.

You will have google it as not allowed to paste URL yet.

Used it on me Nokia 6680 now transferred over to N73. So far so good, and i think you can get it for 80 including GPS reciever.

i got a 133x sd card and the map lagging is still there so dont waste your cash
Oow and now i have the bluetooth problem

nokia n73 ffssssssss cr*p..

You all need to get your firmware updated and get a ultra2 sd card, there much faster than the standard ones.

I have firmware v4.0711.2.0.1 on my N73 😃 (he he !! I have a mate that works at Nokia)
and TOMTOM v6.010 on a 2gb Sandisk Ultra2 MiniSD Card

Might I suggest that you disable your POI's, that might speed up your map lagging.

Oh, its the N95 that has built in GPS, not the N73

my nokia repair shop say's there is no v4 ind i have allready got the latest firmware...

i all so returnd the sd card and got a sandisk ultre2 and to my surprise it did not work.. still have map lagging....

so nothing works...

Yeah I posted about this problem long ago and I never did find a solution. I bought a Ultra II card identical to what others were using yet the problem remained. I was using the same firmware and TT6 version as them. I'll probably look for alternative sat nav products.

Just to add to this, I have lag too, Ive tried 4 maps, New firmware, Reinstall TT. I cant belive there are so many people with this problem and there is no solution. I had TT5 on my 7610 and it was fault less. GRRRR

And just to top things off my phone started playing up and its going back to vodafone tomorrow
