hi Everyone,

I am trying to install a nokia application to my phone but i allways i get the message saying: the application.sis not supported.

can some body help me to solve this problem.

some body knows what it could be???

Thanks

Perhaps the application is intended for a different phone (e.g., it could be an S60 2nd Edition based app; assuming you have either an N71, N73 or N75 which are S60 3rd Edition based and do not run S60 2nd Ed. or 1st Ed. apps).

Other than that, it might be good to know which app, exactly, you're trying to install and onto which phone model.

hi there,

thanks for your reply...i have just been to nokia site ....

you are right....it is 2nd eddition file trying to install to 3de eddition phone...

but do you have any way to install 2nd eddition sisfile to 3de edditionphone...i have got N73.

thanks

AFAIK there is no way to install 2nd ed apps to 3rd phones. Search for a 3rd edition for the app, for eg Fexplorer was released in 3rd too.

Hi,
I am using S60 3rd edition with carbide C++ 1.2 and created a signed sis file. But when i am going to install the sis file through PCsuit in E61i mobile phone a message comes out that "Can't install an unsupported application, contact the supplier". Can you please tell me why i am not able to install the sis file.
