N80 "rebooting" problem

Hi

I have on several occations experienced how my N80 seems to reboot on its own 😡. Yesterday I was even able to produce the error by trying to connect to a WLAN using the browser. After loading less than 5% (according to progress bar) the phone goes to the white-background-NOKIA-logo state where it remains for a few minutes before it recovers :con?

Anyone experienced something like that?

yup... I think a lot of us have experienced phantom reboots... most seem to come from the older F/W versions...

Only had 1 or maybe 2 with my IE edition...

Okay .. I am running 4.0623.0.42 .. I wanted to try out the N80 -> N80ie upgrade anyways so now is probably a good time.

Thanks

hahaha yeah, good enough excuse 😉

plus, the upgrade is much easier / safer now than the 'bad ol' days with Phoenix /Diego etc and NSS.... as you only need NSU

I had the phantom reboot with one phone running my n80 f/w, changed it because the repair didn't work and the new one with the same f/w was fine.

I don't know why that might be, but the fact that they were both running the same f/w indicates to me that sometimes it might be the hardware causing phantom reboots.

Saying that I've had the IE for about 2 months and no phantom reboots at all!

Mystery...
