got a orange n80 with ie firmware and no branding but i cannot get rid of theanswerphone icon, even though i have no messages?
i get a srat up message of a message on line1 but then she say no message.
i have also seen an option for line 1 & 2 but cannot find it now,
can i change lines etc to rid me of this annoyance
any ideas

I have the same problem as well, I had this last year when first got the phone. And managed to clear it from a post back then. Now it has come back. I have tried a phone reset & leaving another message then deleting it but its still there. I have also got a truphone account and have tried deleting message on that but still no good.
I have searched for the post but can not find it. If someone can remember the post please let us know

I have this issue and just out of interest shoved my SIm in a friends S-E. Guess what, Answerphone Icon appeared!!! so , nowt to do with the phone at all. I've tried teh leave a message delete it and wait till teh symbol changes but mine goes from with a black dot to without when I have a message and back to having teh black dot when I've deleted it. I even went to my emails and found I had an unread email, Great I thought, this must be it! Nope deleted it and still no joy.
