Recently I had a chance to revisit the E61 at a local shop, and although the N80 is billed as the "Internet Edition" phone, with WiFi and UPnP, the E61 actually had more connectivity options.
One thing that caught my eye is how many options are available on the E61 for the Data Bearer settings when creating a new access point.
On my N80 I have two options, GPRS or WiFi. On the E61 I think there were 5, including IP passthrough, High Speed GSM, and a few others.
I also found small things were different -- for example how on the E61 new messages are listed on the standby screen; I realize that this is because its billed as a email/blackberry killer; but something like that could easily have been put in the N80 (after all, the WiFi Wizard is there which shows current WiFi status on the today screen).
Some more options were there on the E61 that I felt were more suited for the N80; so now I am deciding if I should try out the E61 for a few days to see how it fits with the way I work.
Has anyone else felt that the "Internet Edition" was more marketing hype than substance?
