Model : Nokia 3230
Version : 3.502
Left the phone on standby mode, later when looked the screen was (white):icon2: blank , but the backlight was working when a key was pressed.
then i pluged it to the charger, then the backlight switch on but only some lines appear on the screen, and then they go off.
cannot switch on? ,no sound comes, nothing on screen.......
What could be the problem??????.
Sometimes the Nokia logo appears when pluged into the charger and then it disappers:icon4: :icon4:
Sounds like a trip to your nearest Nokia service/repair center might be in order: http://www.nokia.com/repair
I can make calls , receive them and hear sounds , no problem at all........
but nothing on screen..........
but when you press the power button once Some lines appear (that happened B4)
and sometimes (not alwayz) when i switch on the word "NOKIA" appears only .
Is this the White Screen of Death or a Display Problem or a Firmware error???
How can I be Sure????
Ps : there is no nokia care center in my area.......
:icon2:
If it is a WSOD, you can try a hard reset.
Thanks for the tip, friend
I ve tried the hard format.............this is what happend....
pressed the 3 keys then the word 'nokia' came then ' formatting' appeared
then the screen went white...........
I dont know what happened after it..........
now the phone is working all fine........can make and receive calls but the screen is just white.........lights are working........
i dont whether its exactly the W.S.O.D.......
(but the power lines appear when i press the power button briefly)
How can i be sure whether itz a firmware eror or a screen error
(no nokia care in ma area)
Please help me
WSOD is an achronym for White Screen Of Death. Try another time the hard reset and if this problem persists, then you have a damaged display controller. Display itself is not damaged, since it still displayes "Nokia". It might be also a firmware fault, but his can be solved only in a service.
thanks alot, great help............
Nokia Appears , when i on the phone after leaving it off for a about a day.......
frequent switch ons do not display it............
