Digital Red Registration

Just read all the info about Digital Red's new product and it sounds very good, so I went to the website and saw the registration stuff so I decided to sign up. Once I completed it it then took me to a page showing all the people who had signed up - including e-mail address and EMIE number!!!!

Unfortunately it's too late for me to do anything about it as I'm regsitered(and Hazy1UK - I saw your name and EMIE there as well). So if you don't want your EMIE listed then don't register until they sort this out.

Thanks for the warning...

But if this software lives up to the hype, it will most certainly be on my shopping list. Oh, but yes![ This Message was edited by TANKERx on 2002-02-11 1224 ]

Hey, thanks for the info. This can only have happened in the last couple of days.
Isn't it good to know the professionals are keeping us safe!!
Cheers. Hazy1uk

I gave them a bit of a roasting and they promised to sort it out. I haven't had a chance to see if they have though.

Surely knowing someones number is no more use than knowing their isp address. If you use a phone it is recognised anyway. What am i not aware of?

Stolen Mobile phones can be "turned off" by a service provider based on the EMIE number. The EMIE number on most mobiles (not sure about 9210 - but can't see why not) can be changed, all they need is a new EMIE number.

If they use your EMIE number and the phone co's decide to turn them off again, then you will also be turned off as the EMIE will not be allowed on the networks.

But when will Digital Red release screen shots of this software!?

These suspenders are killing me!

Sorry to every one sufferered!!!!!!
I am from Digital-Red, the mistake has happened during Chinese Newyear, and we can not fix it in time, sorry again.
but now we have fix the error and promise that it would not happen again.
I should explain about the IMEI we just use the IMEI in product license code and would not use in other way, trust us please. This encrypt method is allowed by Nokia.

I am very sorry again!!
