Messages in phone memory

I store all my messages (SMS and MMS) in miniSD. But I used to store them in phone memory, and then I switched.

When I look at my memory status by File Manager, it shows "Messages 27KB" even though I do not have any messages in my phone memory (or at least it looks like no message is in my phone memory) :con?

How can I clear this? I already tried normal reset (*#7780#) and it did not help.

I appreciate any suggestion and/or idea. Thank you!

Thanks, nj7.

Can you please elaborate about "the registry of messages" a little more?

Excuse my ignorance ... thanks!

Messages are a system folder. Even after all delete, the phone remains with that functionality. So some space must be allocated on the OS for that.

Try the following steps -

- Switch back the Message save setting to Phone Memory.
- Close the Application
- Reopen and change it back to Memory card.
- Switch off and remove the miniSD
- Switch ON
- Clear all your existing messages in your inbox (This would be your phone memory content)
- Put back your miniSD

and will be all set. !!!

- Cheers,
Ravi.
