Camera mode turned on automatically

My N70 keep turning itself on in camera mode eventhough I did not turn on the camera lid. I tried to dismantle the housing and assemble it back, but it will still pops up in camera mode. Can anyone please help me in this? Its annoying...:frown:

Yes, it will erase everything from phone memory. MMC is not affected. Make a backup on MMC or with PC Suite before this.

Maybe the camera button is stuck. The button is on the right side of the phone, as you look at the phone from rear. Press it and see if it works.

Have you got a non-Nokia back cover fitted?

I found that with an OEM cover, the microswitch on the right (phone face down, back off) was being nudged by the badly-moulded plastic on the back cover.

The edge of the lens-covering plastic (top part) should slide through the slot in the bottom part (pop-port end) and activate the microswitch.

A slight tap or putting the phone down hard used to turn activate the camera.

If not, the microswitch itself may be dodgy or need a clean.

I am using the original housing, and i tried to remove it n press the button, it will turn on the camera. but even if i did not put the cover, the camera will still turn on by itself!!!!
