hard reset help

Hi
I think I have old firmware. My phone boots VERY slowly just to display "Memory Full"
I cant get the phone to allow me to try this hard reset thing.
can you tell me the procedure for it again?
What happens if it dont work? What can the nokia store do?
Is there anyway to get my contacts off it?
Also anyone know if it is possible to get the 3650 and is it bigger?

I take it that you have Firmware v3.12 since this is a common error.
